Is India truly a global sporting power today?

Indian sportsmanOver the years, sports is one category which has witnessed phenomenal reformation, in terms of talent acquisition, training, awareness of the general public and their participation.

We all know sports inevitable, but training to all was not available due to unaffordability due to many good talents was capped.

In India, gone are the days when different sports were mainly played for recreational purpose or to satisfy the fitness demands. Today, talent is sifted from childhood forward and most talented rise into specializing training.

Today, parents encourage their children to play games and earn name and fame for themselves. With the growing demand for all the sports, the need to have athletic body has also gained importance. To take Indian Sports to new heights, the task of governing and promoting them in India have fallen on a number of Indian sports associations. Sports organizations like the Indian Olympic Association and Sports Authority of India are working towards raising the standard of Indian sports through various talent promotion programs.

Initiatives such as Indian Premier League (Cricket), Hockey India League, Indian Badminton League, Pro Kabaddi League, and Indian Super League (Football) are indeed changing the face and the identity of Indian sports. Sports in India have a tremendous potential for expansion in the existing huge market.

The Department of Education’s Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting policy have made a minimum two hours of physical education or activity per week as mandatory for each student. This enables our school going kids undergo physical activity and sportsmanship, which is another beautiful code of morality and works to win every practice race of life.

The sporting goods industry in India has been in existence for more than a century, earlier it managed to grow due to a skilled workforce, but now in nexus with technology, sports industry is flourishing.

All in all, sports industry has huge potential with growing middle class and their expenditure capacity.

GSI believes in woman empowerment

Empowering_WomenWomen are important element of society and GSI, both.

Women who were dormant gender of the Indian population has become active participant in all walks of life. These changes are not overnight but have come with tiny steps taken over the millennia.

Garg Sports International, (GSI) is one of those companies that has taken this issue seriously and assisted woman from small cities to come out and bring – in the change by supporting their family and their own holistic development as  self sustain individual.

What is Women Empowerment?

Women Empowerment refers to the creation of an environment for women where they can make decisions of their own for their personal benefits as well as for the society.

Gender equality is both a moral and economic imperative. Closing the gender gap should be a central part of any strategy to create more sustainable and inclusive economies and societies. It is about fairness and equity, the realization of individual aspirations, economic empowerment around the world and growth.
